第九条 of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from 性 discrimination in educational programs and activities at institutions that receive federal financial assistance. Sex discrimination includes 性ual harassment, 性暴力, and 不正当的性行为.
St. 约翰的大学 is committed to providing an environment that is free from all forms of discrimination on the basis of 性 and offers many resources to students, 教师, 管理员, and staff to address concerns relating to discrimination on the basis of 性 or gender identity.
Who Are the 第九条 Coordinators?
丹尼尔·海恩斯, Interim Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance and 第九条 Coordinator, serves as the 第九条 Coordinator for overall campus compliance for the University. 在这个角色中, she monitors and maintains overall compliance with University policies and procedures in preventing, 寻址, and remediating all forms of discrimination and harassment.

When Should I Contact a 第九条 Coordinator?

For example, we encourage you to contact a 第九条 Coordinator if you:
- Wish to understand your options if you think you may have encountered 性 discrimination or 不正当的性行为
- Learn of a situation that you feel may warrant a University investigation
- Need help on how to handle a situation by which you are indirectly affected
- Seek guidance on possible methods of de-escalating or alleviating a difficult situation
